About the authors

Lisa Feiner, MBA, MEd, NBC-HWC

Lisa is a board-certified Health and Wellness Coach, Brain Longevity Specialist, and co-founder of the nonprofit Sharp Again. She received her MBA from Columbia University and worked for almost a decade in corporate human resources and consulting. After spending three years in London where she explored alternative health therapies, Lisa returned to the United States and became a health and wellness coach.

A longtime supporter of the elderly in her community, Lisa has been a board member and volunteer of a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility for 25 years. When she and some colleagues heard about people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s who had regained their cognition through better lifestyle and integrative practices, they formed a nonprofit to bring this information to the public. Sharp Again educates about causes of memory loss and provides information, webinars, and group coaching programs to support people in improving their cognition and overall well-being.

Lisa has worked with clients in a myriad of ways, teaching about stress reduction, nutrition, and how to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life. She speaks locally and nationally to diverse audiences so that individuals, family members, and caregivers know how to keep their cognition, and those of their loved ones, intact. Lisa writes on a variety of topics and is interviewed on podcasts, radio and TV. She has a private practice in Westchester, NY.

Steve Ledvina, NBC-HWC

Steve Ledvina is a board-certified Health and Wellness Coach specializing in brain health and Alzheimer’s prevention. Through his coaching practice, ElevateMe Coaching, Steve works with individuals to implement lifestyle changes that prevent dementia, maintain cognitive function, and improve overall quality of life. His mission is deeply personal, inspired by the impact dementia had on his family—having witnessed three grandparents face its challenges. These experiences fueled his dedication to helping others adopt proactive, science-backed strategies to preserve cognitive health and extend their health spans.

Steve brings his psychology background, coach training, and personal experience to Sharp Again. He has been instrumental in developing the Sharp Again small group coaching programs and has led the Sharp Again board for three years. His private coaching practice is focused on working with individuals concerned about their brain health. He collaborates with clients and their medical team to empower, support, and guide them through challenges and lifestyle changes that promote brain health. Clients range from those focusing on longevity and disease prevention through lifestyle change to those with a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment seeking a more intensive approach.
